My husband (then fiancé) and I attended the Wedding Expo at the Coca Cola Dome in 2011, a couple of months prior to our wedding.  Being completely overwhelmed, we decided to collect as many pamphlets as possible and then sort through them once we got home.  In our “photography” pile, we had at least 20 business cards and pamphlets.  We decided to contact the one that stood out from the rest…..Silver Suitcase.  One could immediately see from the detail that went into the presentation of the beautifully prepared booklet, that their professionalism and attention to detail would definitely reflect in their work.

We met Chene’ at a coffee shop and as they say, “the rest was history”.  We were on the same page in terms of style and expectations regarding our wedding photos.  We chatted and laughed as if we had known each other for years and before even reaching our car, Nick and I were set on Silver Suitcase.  We just knew that Chene’ was the right person for the job.  Out of all the wedding related decisions we had to make, choosing our photographer was by far the easiest and the best one.

Our first photo shoot was at the Nan Hua Temple in Bronkhorstspruit.  With the help of Chene’ we chose “Eat, Pray, Love” as the theme of our pre-wedding shoot, which formed part of the wedding package.  We had an amazing day and were so thankful for the bit of practice time in front of the camera before the big day. Nick and I are both very shy in front of the camera, but Chene’ made us feel so at ease.  She makes you forget that you are actually busy with a photo shoot, with her spontaneity and great sense of humour.  Needless to say, we were very pleased with the results and were super excited for our wedding day, knowing that our fondest memories would be in her capable hands.

On our wedding day, Chene’ once again proved herself as a brilliant photographer.  Chene’ has also done three other photo shoots for us after the initial 2 shoots, these being:  Maternity, New Born and Christmas shoots.  We always receive compliments about our beautiful photos as well as enquiries as to who the photographer was. There is no doubt that Silver Suitcase will be our first choice for any future photo shoots.

I was asked recently, how do I know Chene’?  My reply was that she is a very good friend of ours, not that “she is our photographer”.

Chene’, you have truly become a very good friend to our family.  Thank you for capturing our most precious memories so beautifully.  Photography is not just your job, it’s your passion.

Thinking back to the awesome time we had at our wedding in 2011 we decided we wanted to use you again to capture our special moments.
We have gone from 2 to 3 since the time we met and we didn’t even consider getting someone new to walk a journey with.
When we saw you it was like we never even parted and we were so excited to get started. Even Gabriella just immediately fell in line with kisses and hugs to Aunty Chene!!
Thank you so much for capturing our special memories and for being the fantastic person you are.
Your love and passion for photography really comes through when you say: “okay last shot” and as we are walking to the car you still magically capture that special moment between daddy and daughter.
Thank you once again Chene!
Here’s to planning the next photo shoot!
